Our journey began in 1990 in the heart of Chicago, where we honed our craft in custom home construction. This experience gave us a deep understanding of all aspects of building, including the art of creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. Seeking a better quality of life, we relocated to Colorado, where our expertise was soon recognized, leading to collaborations with major retailers and local clients.
In 2016, brothers Jeff and Jon Potter and their partner Dave Little founded Black Diamond Decks in Castle Rock. This company was eventually folded into ALTA Outdoor Living, which we launched in 2023.
Our deck work quickly earned a reputation for honest, high-quality craftsmanship. With a growing demand for upscale, year-round outdoor living spaces, we added Azenco luxury pergolas, carports, and pool covers to our ALTA offerings.
